Are you ready to change? I love sharing good news, helping people out, and helping people help others. I’m pleased to recommend the following resources. Do you know of any resources that people seeking change should know about? Contact me
Connect with Men
F3. (Group workouts for men). Every morning in the Kansas City area, men from ages 18 – 80 are getting together for early morning (usually 5:30-6:15 am) outdoor workouts with other men. This is a good opportunity to connect with other men and have some accountability to improve our health. I’ve found the guys to be very welcoming and encouraging. The workouts are free and led by participants– Just show up and introduce yourself as an “FNG” (Friendly New Guy). If someone asks you who invited you, you can say “Duggar” (that’s me). Current locations and times can be found here.
Books to help you Change
You Can Change (book by Tim Chester). What do you want to change? Why do you want to change? What are you going to do about it? I love how this book asks challenging questions and provides powerful truths that can provide strength and guidance for change. I’ve walked through this book with men and would love to support you on your journey.
Hope for the Separated (book on marital separation by Gary Chapman). Do you know someone who has recently become separated? This helpful book provides hope and wisdom to comfort and encourage those who are facing separation. Separation can be a season to grieve and grow.
Surfing for God (book on pornography by John Michael Cusick). This book is one of the more helpful resources on pornography that I’ve seen. I love how it provides hope and truths to help you overcome.
A good friend facing a painful divorce mentioned that if he could say one thing to his younger self, he would tell himself to do whatever it takes to stop using porn. Porn hurts those we love– a lot. Porn is also very hard to break free from because the habit is both reinforcing as well as a symptom of deeper things. I’d be honored to help you to know freedom and wholeness.

Kansas City Area Job Clubs (links to job clubs). Job seeking is hard work. Job clubs offer support through tips, accountability, and camaraderie. I have appreciated the groups at Church of the Resurrection.
